Illinois Premise Alert Program The Illinois Premise Alert Program (Public Act 96-0788) was enacted to ensure that consistently high levels of public safety services are available to all people including those with special needs and disabilities. It is the intent of this program to offer guidance and direction to public safety workers in responding to and assisting those individuals with special needs or disabilities or both with whom they will have contact in providing service to. Read the full IL Premise Alert Program Act HERE The ability to effectively deal with special needs individuals is enhanced with knowledge or information about the individual. The information provided will be kept confidential and used only to provide emergency services personnel with the information needed to effectively handle an emergency involving a special needs or disabled individual. The information will expire two (2) years after the date submitted and will no longer be maintained in the database. The Hebon - Alden- Greenwood FPD shall not be subject to civil liabilities for duties relating to the reporting of special needs or disabled individuals and the information provided to the Premise Alert Program will not result in any type of preferential treatment to the special needs or disabled individual.
